Geomagic Studio 2012 Provides Direct Link to SpaceClaim

Geomagic Further Streamlines 3D Direct Modeling Process in Collaboration with SpaceClaim.

Geomagic®, the leading provider of 3D software for creating and inspecting digital models of physical objects, and SpaceClaim®, the market leader in direct modeling software that enables all engineers to work in 3D, announced today a direct integration of their products. Geomagic Studio 2012 includes an option to transfer models produced from scan data directly in to SpaceClaim Engineer 2011+.

The direct link to SpaceClaim option in Geomagic Studio 2012 allows users to seamlessly move data from and to SpaceClaim, empowering users with a streamlined scan-to-solid process. The 3D Direct Modeling capability of SpaceClaim enables power editing to data from Geomagic without the overhead of traditional CAD, which enables changes and refinements to be easily and quickly made to models created with Geomagic Studio.

Geomagic Studio 2012 is an intuitive solution for transforming 3D scan data and probe data into precise polygon and CAD models with parametric integration with popular MCAD products for reverse engineering, product design, rapid prototyping and analysis. This user-friendly software provides the most efficient means of 3D scan data conversion with new and enhanced features that revolutionize the digital content modeling and manufacturing process. It delivers an intuitive user interface that presents simplified commands for complex processes, as well as precise surfacing, powerful automated point cloud data clean up, and rapid surface repair of models. Additionally the software is able to export data directly to manufacturing, CNC, analysis, 3D printing or CAD system.

Geomagic Studio 2012 creates precision 3D renditions of physical objects reducing turnaround on replacement parts by as much as 95 percent according to customers, resulting in efficient and cost effective manufacturing. The ability to create 3D data using Geomagic Studio within FEA and CAD systems yields increased design power, rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and analysis and quality control prior to production, thereby resulting in cost effective superior parts.
