Infotech Enterprises Ltd, a leading Global Engineering Services company, signed an MoU with Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IIT-H) today. The MoU was signed by Mr. B. Ashok Reddy, President – Global HR and Corporate Affairs, Infotech Enterprises Limited and Prof. U. B. Desai, Director, Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad, in a ceremony held at the Manikonda facility of Infotech.
Infotech signed its first ever MoU with Indian Institute of Technology in pursuit of its goal in enabling Technical institutes produce high-quality and ready-to-employ talent. Besides, the unique feature of this MoU is that, it enables Infotech undertake joint R&D and consultancy projects with the involvement of faculty members of IIT-H.
Through this MoU the students of IIT-H would gain industrial exposure, internships, industrial visits and they can get engaged in live projects at Infotech. Infotech will also nominate its experts as adjunct faculty and in organizing special technical lectures at IIT-H campus. In addition, Infotech would extend its support in designing the curriculum for Under Graduate and Post Graduate programs in order to enable the institute align with industry requirements.
Mr. B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director, Infotech Enterprises Ltd, said, “Strong R&D capabilities and quality technical talent would be the key differentiators for success of the Indian Engineering services Industry in the competitive global arena. We need to create a strong eco-system for the industry and the academia to cooperate for the benefit of all stake holders – students, faculty, industry and society. Infotech’s campus connect initiative paves way for a two way association with the institutions – to enrich the quality of technical education imparted to the students and creating a talent pool for Infotech and the industry to absorb. Infotech has been actively promoting partnership between the Industry and Institution by signing MoUs with JNTU Kakinada, SNIST Hyderabad, CIPET Hyderabad, MLRIT Hyderabad and Andhra Polytechnic College from Kakinada.
