PTT Maintenance and Engineering Company Limited (PTTME), the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services subsidiary of PTT Chemical Public Company Limited (PTT Chemical), Thailand’s leading petrochemical company, has standardized on Intergraph® SmartPlant® Enterprise solutions, including SmartPlant 3D and SmartPlant Layout, and will implement Intergraph technology as the standard platform for all PTT Chemical plants.
PTTME sought to eliminate inconsistent engineering solutions being used by various contractors on its projects, and decided to adopt an integrated engineering platform to provide accurate and consistent project information. The company has selected and standardized on Intergraph’s integrated suite of SmartPlant Enterprise solutions (including SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant Layout, SmartPlant Review, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Reference Data, Standard Database for SmartPlant Reference Data and SmartSketch®) because it is proven to deliver enhanced engineering efficiency and productivity. PTTME was also impressed with Intergraph’s extensive industry knowledge and expertise, along with dedicated local distributor support from Intergraph’s partner, Neon Infotech Southeast Asia Company Limited (Neon Infotech).
SmartPlant Enterprise will be implemented enterprise-wide and used for all of PTTME’s future projects. The technology will help PTTME keep an up-to-date record of plant information for PTT Chemical’s plants, and engineers from various disciplines from PTT Chemical will use the Intergraph solutions to carry out detailed engineering work for new projects.
“We are on a mission to establish PTTME as a leading EPC company, and provide quality services to PTT Chemical’s group of companies,” said Somsak Keerativutisate, managing director of PTTME. “We are pleased to have Intergraph and its local distributor, Neon Infotech, as our experienced technology partners to implement the comprehensive SmartPlant Enterprise portfolio. With an integrated approach to engineering design, we are establishing a standard, best-practice technology platform at PTTME.”
Gerhard Sallinger, Intergraph Process, Power & Marine president, said, “PTTME’s decision to standardize on SmartPlant Enterprise for PTT Chemical plants further reinforces Intergraph’s leadership position with owner operators in the industry. SmartPlant Enterprise’s integrated suite of solutions will streamline work processes and produce accurate, consistent engineering deliverables, enabling PTTME to achieve enhanced safety, quality and productivity for its projects.”
SmartPlant Enterprise offers a powerful portfolio of industry-leading, best-in-class design and data management solutions, enabling companies in the process, power and marine industries to capture integrated engineering knowledge at the enterprise level for the competitive advantage in today’s and tomorrow’s market.
