New release offers Enhanced Usability, Advanced Features to Streamline PDF-Based Digital Workflows.
Today Bluebeam Software is launching Bluebeam PDF Revu 9 in German and Swedish. Revu 9 is the latest, fully-loaded version of its PDF platform technologies that provides a smart, simple solution to create, markup, edit and manage PDF files, with specialized features for architecture, engineering and construction.
"Revu 9 is truly fully loaded. We took everything our users love about Revu for project communication, incorporated their feedback and feature suggestions and made it better," said Bluebeam Software CEO Richard Lee. "The result is more power, more flexibility and enhanced usability to help our customers get their job done."
For high-quality CAD to PDF file conversion, Revu 9 extends Bluebeam's powerful PDF plugin capabilities to support AutoCAD and Revit 2012. Revu 9 also includes over 30 new features and enhancements to support digital workflows including:
3D PDF viewing capability for navigating through complex models on screen and rotating, spinning and zooming to gain a dynamic view of the project.
The exclusive VisualSearch™ for selecting a specific symbol in a PDF and searching for all instances of it. Users can instantly apply highlights to search results or hyperlink them to additional reference data.
Improved PDF creation from AutoCAD, including enhancements to the batch PDF creation plugin for multi-selecting DWGs and adjusting output settings such as page setups and text stamps, and the ability to add sheet sets for batch file conversion.
Measurement cutout, a highly-requested function to Revu's measurement tools that accounts for room obstructions in area measurements.
PDF to MS Office creation for seamlessly converting PDF files to Word, Excel® and PowerPoint® for significant text edits, as well as HTML.
PDF Forms creation for transforming any PDF into a fillable PDF form.
PDF Scripting, enabling users to engage 25 script commands to automate repetitive processes such as inserting PDF coversheets, adding text stamps, flattening PDFs and more.
MultiView™ Extended for running multiple sessions of Bluebeam concurrently, moving document tabs dynamically between sessions and to additional monitors for expanded viewing.
Better foreign language support, including Unicode text support for adding text-based markups in any left-to-right reading language and a markup translation feature that instantly translates markups to more than 55 languages.
PDF/A support for the long-term archival of PDF documents.
In upcoming weeks, Bluebeam will also announce localized versions of Bluebeam PDF Revu 9 in Danish, Finnish, Norwegian and Spanish.
Bluebeam PDF Revu 9 is available in three editions - Revu Standard for general CAD and Office users, Revu CAD for AutoCAD, Revit and SolidWorks® users and the new Revu eXtreme for PDF power users.
