VISTAGY selected to participate in PTC’s Creo launch.
WALTHAM, Mass — VISTAGY, Inc., a provider of industry-specific engineering software and services, today announced that it has participated in the worldwide launch of Creo, PTC's new product family of design software. VISTAGY was selected to participate with its FiberSIM® composites engineering software and has demonstrated FiberSIM running in a Creo environment.
"Our suite of products support the entire process for highly complex engineering projects, such as composites design and manufacturing, by providing customers with industry-specific software that is open and flexible and enables them to leverage their existing engineering development tools," said Steve Luby, president and CEO of VISTAGY. "This philosophy is right in line with Creo's vision and strategy, as we jointly seek to broaden access to PLM tools by providing the right-size solution at the right time for each participant in the design process. We're excited about the opportunity to work with PTC on their dynamic new vision and believe that VISTAGY's solutions will help unlock the power of the Creo architecture."
According to PTC, Creo will deliver a scalable, interoperable, open and easy-to-use set of mechanical design applications that provide each participant with the right-size solution at the right time during the design process, while offering full upward compatibility with existing PTC products.
"We selected VISTAGY to participate in the launch of Creo because of their ability to respond rapidly to market demands and their vision in the market with regards to the definition of rich product description as exemplified by FiberSIM," said Michael M. Campbell, division vice president of Design and Visualization Products, PTC.
"VISTAGY has been a long standing partner of PTC; the kind of partner that we believe will benefit from the openness of Creo to deliver leading industry-specific applications complementary to our own."
VISTAGY found that upgrading FiberSIM to the pre-release version of Creo was straightforward and adopting PTC's new UI and ribbon interface was fast and easy. VISTAGY is looking forward to leveraging Creo products so it can deliver added value to joint customers, and will continue to support PTC's existing installed base, while providing clear upgrade paths.
PTC believes that the big challenge in CAD is to provide a complete definition in 3D that will fully support key engineering decisions. Further, it is critical to deliver tools that are easy to use because they're designed for specific jobs, from preliminary design to the factory floor.
VISTAGY software enables engineers to work how they think so they can efficiently create rich product descriptions for better-informed decision making early in development. VISTAGY software enhances the highest performing 3D computer-aided-design platforms by applying specialized process knowledge and domain expertise to create solutions that solve some of the world's most complex engineering problems. As a result, customers significantly increase their reuse of engineering data and ultimately reduce cost, improve quality, and cut time to market.
