SINGAPORE – Siemens PLM Software today announced that it has appointed CADEM Technology Center Pte. Ltd. as the sole Singapore distributor of NX™ software, Siemens PLM Software’s flagship digital product development solution for computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering analysis (CAD/CAM/CAE).
Under the terms of this agreement, CADEM will market, license, manage and support the distribution of NX in Singapore. Siemens PLM Software is enabling and extending its reach and coverage of the NX product line in a systematic and comprehensive manner. CADEM will provide users of NX with professional support and also provide both software and industry domain-based training. CADEM is a well established technology solution provider in Singapore that has many years of experience and is credited with the successful implementation of Product Data Management Solutions and CAD/CAM/CAE Solutions in many companies.
The latest version of NX – NX 7.0 – was announced on 7th October 2009, building on its strong leadership position in modeling flexibility and productivity. NX 7.0 introduces HD3D, an open and intuitive visual environment to help global product development teams unlock the value of PLM information and significantly enhance their ability to make efficient and effective product decisions. In addition, NX 7.0 includes further enhancements to synchronous technology aimed at greater efficiency, enhanced reuse of legacy data and expanded interoperability with multiple third party CAD systems.
The introduction of HD3D in NX 7.0 is part of Siemens PLM Software’s comprehensive approach to establishing a new paradigm in visual analytics. HD3D is a visually-rich environment for working with virtually any type of PLM data. This environment will be common across NX and Teamcenter® software, Siemens PLM Software’s industry-leading digital lifecycle management portfolio, and its open architecture will also allow for integration with a variety of third-party applications.
At the same time, the enhancements to synchronous technology further accelerate a variety of product development tasks and expand the unmatched ability of NX to effectively work with data from third party CAD applications.
“We are thrilled and honored to be selected by Siemens PLM Software to support the distribution of the NX software solution in Singapore,” said Terence Chan, CEO, CADEM. “NX is widely recognized by many organizations for its superior capabilities that are best realized through expert usage, which is the end-product of excellent support and training. We are confident that the release of NX 7.0, coupled with professional support and services, will allow many more companies to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness, ultimately increasing their profits.”
“In partnering with CADEM, Siemens PLM Software has entrusted its premier flagship NX software to one of the most capable partners in Singapore,” said Rajiv Ghatikar, vice president and general manager, ASEAN / Australasia, Siemens PLM Software. “I am convinced that this partnership will serve our customers and the Singapore business community to achieve productivity gains and will continue to serve to make Singapore a competitive and high skilled environment offering world-class products and services in a variety of industries. I look forward to great success that CADEM would bring to this relationship and jointly allow us to accelerate our business in Singapore.”
