Austin, TX. Ashlar-Vellum has announced the release of Service Pack 2 for Cobalt, Xenon and Argon version 8, their trio of products for precision 3D modeling, drafting and photo-realistic rendering.
The highlights of v8 SP 2 include:
* Non photo-realistic sketch rendering
* Layer sets
* User-defined stroke shortcuts to activate any menu command or icon
* Easy access to tutorials and sample files through the menus
* A host of minor enhancements and bug fixes
* Support for Windows 7 and Mac Snow Leopard
“Sketch rendering completes the v8 road map,” commented Robert Bou, president of Ashlar-Vellum. “This valuable feature sells for hundreds of dollars as an add-on from many of our competitors. We also added many user-requested refinements to round out the v8 packages for Cobalt, Xenon and Argon.”
Service Pack 2 is a free update available to all those on Cobalt, Xenon and Argon v8. Upgrades are available from previous versions, with prices varying according to the age of the software.
