“One Click” Easy Photorealistic Rendering Plug-in
NOVATO, Calif. IMSI/Design, the global leader in retail CAD, has released a free version of IDX® Renditioner Express for Google™ SketchUp™ 6 (NASD: GOOG).
Based on the popular IDX Renditioner product, the free version of IDX Renditioner Express – which can be used for unlimited commercial or personal use – plugs directly into the Google SketchUp interface and integrates innovative one-click rendering with powerful capabilities found in other commercial rendering products.
“Google set the standard with their free version of SketchUp,” said Bob Mayer, Chief Operating Officer of IMSI/Design. “Following their example, we wanted to make the first easy one-click rendering solution available to everyone for free.”
The free version of IDX Renditioner Express supports renderings up to 640 x 480 pixels, making it a fast, powerful solution for online and simple conceptual use. Working directly in SketchUp allows for quick revisions to the model, materials, environments, and lighting. Mixing and blending both natural and artificial lights, including a vast array of point and spot light types, allows for precise and emotionally powerful images. The product includes the powerful LightWorks® rendering engine from LightWork Design, the de facto standard for integrated rendering in advanced 3D graphics applications.
